Description

Preparation and physical start of the RFQ-2 proton accelerator are described. This accelerator was developed with taking into account the start and operation of its preliminary version - the RFQ-1 accelerator with spatial-uniform quadrupolar focusing and blade design of electrodes. The design variations in the RFQ-2, taking into account the shortcomings, noted when testing RFQ-1, are described. The data obtained in the process of the RFQ-2 start confirm its serviceability and closeness of measured parameters to calculational ones

Описаны подготовка и физический пуск протонного ускорителя RFQ-2, разработанного с учетом пуска и работы предварительного варианта этого ускорителя RFQ-1 - ускорителя с пространственно-однородной квадрупольной фокусировкой и лопастной конструкцией электродов. Описаны конструктивные изменения в RFQ-2, учитывающие недостатки, отмеченные при испытаниях RFQ-1.
