Cracking analysis of prestressed concrete reactor vessels

Creators

  • 1. Thames Polytechnic, London (UK)

Description

A criterion for the three-dimensional cracking of prestressed concrete vessels is described. This is followed by the formulation of the limit state analysis of these vessels. Analytical results are obtained for four existing vessels. These results compared well with those obtained from the three-dimensional finite element analysis. Safety margins for these four vessels are tabulated. (author)
