Study of the power klystron generators with increased efficiency
Description
Problems are considered which appear during operation of a self-generator in the mode of an increased repetition frequency and a relatively short duration of the pulse of klystron anode voltage. Increase in the repetition frequency results in the increase of the mean power released on generator elements. Short duration of anode voltage pulses determines the need for achieving a minimum possible time of generator oscillation transient. Circuits and parameters of a SHF generator with an output power of 12 MW operating at a duration of SHF pulses equal to 1.7 μs and a repetition frequency of 400 Hz are presented. The transient time of such a generator is 0.15-17 μs
