Double barrier heat exchanger
Description
This invention concerns a double barrier heat exchanger, between a radioactive primary fluid and a secondary fluid, enabling a possible leak of primary fluid in the exchanger to be detected in particular. As the primary fluid flows through a primary ducting and the secondary fluid through a secondary ducting, a joint matrix is placed between the primary and secondary ductings and in contact with them. The matrix includes at least on element, for example silver, able to be made radioactive when it diffuses in the primary fluid which carries it to an activation source. La presente invention a pour objet un echangeur de chaleur a double barriere, entre un fluide primaire radioactif et un fluide secondaire, permettant notamment de detecter une eventuelle fuite du fluide primaire au niveau de l'echangeur. Ce dernier circulant dans une gaine primaire et le fluide secondaire circulant dans une gaine secondaire, une matrice de jonction est disposee entre les gaines primaire et secondaire et en contact avec celle-ci, la matrice comprenant au moins un element, par exemple l'argent, susceptible d'etre rendu radioactif lorsqu'il diffuse dans le fluide primaire qui l'entraine au niveau d'une source d'activation.
