Description

The present study focuses on the mode of interaction between alloy 690 process pot and barium borosilicate melt at soaking stage of vitrification. The experiments have been carried out using metallographically polished alloy 690 coupons (17mm x 7mm x 5mm) and barium borosilicate glass containing simulated HLW. Each of the coupons was drilled on one side and was completely dipped within barium borosilicate melt using platinum wire
