Linear transformation of magnetoacoustic gravitational waves in an inclined magnetic field

  • 1. AN SSSR, Moscow. Inst. Zemnogo Magnetizma, Ionosfery i Rasprostraneniya Radiovoln

Description

Propagation and transformation of linear magnetoacoustic gravitational waves in a conducting exponential atomsphere with a homogeneous magnetic field are copsidered. The analytic solution through Meier functions is obtained for waves propagating at an arbitrary angle to an inclined magnetic field. A complete theory of linear transformations of all wave types in an atmosphere with strong inhomogeneity is derived. It is shown that in the inclined field, resonance levels and the valve effect are absent
