Description

Carbon free superconducting phase of YNi2B2+x composition (0≤x≤1) and ThCr2Si2 structural type with Tc,ax=13.3 K is synthesized under high pressure (p∼3 GPa, T≥1000 deg C). Connection between the value of critical temperature (Tc) of the synthesized phase superconducting transition and boron contents, correlating with cell parameters is ascertained. A new phase with cell parameters a+3.781, c=11.347 A for which Tc is supposed to be ∼13 k is obtained in Y-Ni-B system. The role of boron atoms in the production of superconducting properties is discussed. 10 refs., 2 figs., 3 tabs
