Pacific Basin - Tomari survives the tsunamis
Creators
Description
In many countries, seismic specifications are probably considered to form a part of the regulatory obligations that is very unlikely to be put to the test. For nuclear engineers in Japan, the situation is very different: earthquakes occur frequently and seismic precautions are regarded as one of the most important aspects of the plant design process. Tomari is a plant that withstood the challenge. (author)
