Contribution of the scintigraphy with meta-iodo-benzyl-guanidine in the neuroblastoma: about 42 cases

Description
The aim of this work is to evaluate the performances of the scintigraphy with meta-iodo-benzyl-guanidine labelled with iodine 131 (Mibg-131I) in the diagnosis, the choice of therapy strategy and the follow up of the neuroblastoma. The conclusions that the scintigraphy with Mibg-131I is a simple and noninvasive examination that presents an excellent sensitivity and a great specificity in the neuroblastoma detection and most of all of its osteo-medullar overgrowth, as well as in the evaluation of the therapy response.
