On biophysical mechanisms of radiation pathology
Creators
Description
The facts of considerable intensification of radiation injury of biologic and artificial membranes in the case of hydroperoxides inclusion or formation are presented. It permits to suppose that the violation of biomembrane permeability in the case of radiosensitizing effect of hydroperoxides of unsaturated fat acids is connected with changes in the structure of phosphohydride part of membranes by the destruction of polyene vitamines, inactivation of transport ATP-ase. The data given permit to suppose the diagram of the role of the endogenic background (sensitizers and protectors) in the indirect mechanism of ionizing radiation effect on biologic objects
