On solar neutrinos and the method of spherically averaged rotation

  • 1. Monash Univ., Clayton (Australia). Dept. of Mathematics

Description

A critical analysis of the method of spherical averages in rotating stars suggests that the neutrino flux is not nearly as badly underestimated as Monaghan has recently concluded and may even be actually overestimated in the case of stars possessing rapidly rotating cores.
