Creators

Description

A brief introduction to the coordination chemistry of actinide ions and the factors, which affect the coordination number and geometry around the actinide metal are given. The coordination number and geometry around the uranyl ion in various uranyl compounds and in particular uranyl bis(β-diketonates) -neutral ligands adduct compounds are presented with examples. The factors affecting the metal-ligand bond strength (bond length) in uranyl bis (β-diketonates)-neutral ligands adduct compounds with its single crystal x-ray structures are discussed in detail.
