Daresbury 1983/4

The report describes the research work carried out at the Daresbury laboratory 1983/4. The nuclear structure facility (NSF) and the synchrotron radiation source (SRS) are described, as well as the programme of experimental work using the NSF and SRS. Work by the theoretical and computational science division provides a deeper insight into the data obtained on the facilities at the laboratory; their studies on nuclei, atoms, molecules and solids are discussed. Computing and electronic work is reported under the topic headings: main-frame, network and single-user computers. (U.K.)
