X-ray photoelectron spectrum of U(4f) in condensates from UF4 and ion bombardment UF4; spectrum of UF3
Description
The 4fsub(7/2) orbital electrons in condensates and ion bombarded powders of UF4 have been investigated with XPS. In both cases the intensity at 382 eV decreases and that at 379 eV increases. The intensities of the 5f electrons are constant. The peak at 379 eV is assigned to UF3. (Auth.)
