Screening of static colour charges in classical gauge theories
Description
The unscreened Abelian solutions to SU(N)N >- 2 gauge theory with a non-singular static charge source are shown to be unstable. The stable solutions are seen to be completely screened. These stable solutions exist in a limit which is difficult to interpret in a quantised theory. (author)
