Method for the photometric determination of radiation effects on the skin

Description
A measuring chain for direct measurement of radiation-induced skin erythema is discribed. Investigations performed with irradiated patients and with irradiated skin of pigs gave evidence of the robustness and measuring accuracy of the device. Peculiarities of the measuring method as well as possibilities of errors are referred to. The method is especially suitable for examination of the early erythematous phase. (author)
