Liquid scintillator LSPN used in detection of fast thermal and slow neutrons

  • 1. Chongqing Univ., SC (China)

Description

A new species of organic liquid scintillator, called LSPN, is invented by the authors. It has two kinds of subgroup, LSPNJ and LSPNI, containing 10B and 127I respectively. The former is mainly used for the detection of thermal and slow neutrons, and the latter, of fast and slow neutrons. LSPNJ can be applied in on-line monitoring while LPSNI in off-line so as to avoid the interference of a strong gamma ray field. Their measurement errors are lower than 10% and efficiencies higher than 70%
