Determination of integral refractive index dispersion in CdS

Description
Dispersion curves of the refractive index n-bar(tω) sample average in an excited volume at different excitation levels and helium temperature were reconstructed on the basis of analysis of reflection spectra and the Fabry-Perot interference picture in CdS radiation and transmission spectra. It is shown that observed differences in the dispersion curves n-bar(ℎω) determined with various methods can be self-congruently explained proceeding from space inhomogeneity in the distribution of electron-hole pair densities along the sample surface and deep in it
