Coherent acoustic emission in metals
Description
The acoustic radiation was studied from the stressed zone of polycrystalline metals phased by pulsed penetrating beams of electrons and protons. Some specific dependences of its value upon the excitation conditions were obtained. The radio-induced variations of the specimen surface micro-relief are shown to correlate qualitatively with the recorded acoustic emission
