Differential γ-rays diffractometry: a new technique to investigate ferroelectric - ferroelastic crystals in cyclic fields

  • 1. Grenoble-1 Univ., 38 (France)
  • 2. Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique, 38 - Grenoble (France). Lab. des Rayons X

Description

Using a new very simple and powerful method of γ-ray differential photometry, the authors have investigated the contribution due to ferroelectric domain wall movements, to the dielectric constant in a KDP single crystal. It has been verified that this contribution called plateau region may be explained by a lateral domain wall displacement in the order of 500 lattice cells around the equilibrium point for T=116 K and E=+-58 V/cm
