The neutron activation gamma-ray radiograph of gold

  • 1. Beijing Research Inst. of Uranium Geology (China)

Description

The method of neutron activation gamma-ray radiograph is used to study the distribution of gold in geological samples. The fundamental principle of the method is that 197Au is activated to 198Au by neutron (the n, r reaction : 197Au n, r-198Au); and the x-ray film is used to record the gamma-ray of 198Au for the image formation. This paper introduces the experimental method and effect as well as the elimination of interference factors from other elements
