On the isotopic abundances in the Orion Nebula molecular cloud
Description
High-resolution spectra of the J transition of HCN have been obtained from the direction of the central region of the Orion Nebula molecular cloud in order to seek evidence of line saturation. It is concluded that this HCN profile is dominated by an unsaturated component. The resulting implications for the number ratio of HCN to DCN in the Orion Nebula are discussed.
