The heat of formation of 1:1 thorium(IV)-EDTA chelate
Description
The enthalpy changes for the formation and the protonation of Th(IV)-EDTA chelate have been determined at 250C and μ = 0.1 by means of a direct EDTA thermometric titration. The results for the formation and the protonation are -12.9 and 0.3 kJ mole -1, respectively. The enthalpies have been combined with the appropriate free energy changes to give the entropy changes.
