Individual determination of alpha-emitting isotopes in solutions by means of submerged alpha-spectrometer

Description

The advantages are shown of using a submerged α-spectrometer, in comparison with conventional semiconductor ones for measuring a relative content of α-radiating isotopes in the solutions. A necessity is excluded of using thin dry specimens, which improves the operating conditions and reduces the time of analysis. With submerged spectrometer one can take distant measurements in closed boxes and in solutions with a high content of nonvolatile salts without their preliminary sublimation. The results of measuring the content of sup(241,243)Am, sup(242,244)Cm isotopes in solutions are given
