Investigation of the muonium stage of μ+ meson depolarization in germanium

Description
The modulus and initial phase of the μ+-meson residual polarization vector in germanium single crystals are measured as a function of field strength, temperature and concentration of doping impurities by observing the precession in a transverse magnetic field. The activation energy for muon atom transfer to the diamagnetic state is calculated. Possible channels of interaction between muonium and the crystal lattice and free charge carriers are considered
