Grouting compounds for burial-well
Description
To localize radioactive wastes we have considered five types of experimental burials and an underground laboratory. Their engineering characteristics have been economically accounted for. The burial-well is designed for storing the cases of the diameter 630 mm, the well depth being 1000 m and the active section of 600 m. Cement and bentonite plugs are constructed higher than 450 m after the cases have been placed into the well. The radioactive waste isolation is proved by the multi-barrier system of the localizing elements with respect to the traditional concept ideas. Some grouting compounds hardening the walls of the well and hermetically sealing it's pipe-off area will be dealt with as another artificial guarding barrier
