Soliton mechanism of ion mobility in incommensurable structures

Description
The paper deals with a model of ion soliton mobility in a onedimensional disproportionate structure as a possible mechanism of information transfer in molecular systems. Numeric calculations of the dependence of diffusion activation energy on the concentration of mobile ions are carried out. NMR experimental data obtained in the investigation of lithium ion mobility in LixNbSe3 (0 < x <= 3) model compound with a quasionedimentional structure. It is shown that the proposed model describes the experimental data well enough
