Description
Intravenous bolus contrast enhancement of the pancreas is a method which should be applied if, on plain scan, the normal anatomic configuration of the pancreas cannot be defined with certitude. Furthermore it can also be used for the detection of unsuspected isodense intrapancreatic tumors and for a better evaluation of the pancreatic organ in cases of acute or chronic pancreatitis. (Auth.)
