Description
A study on the response dependence of Kodak type 2 personal photographic dosemeters on radiation incidence angles and irradiation distance of beta secondary-standard source of 90Sr+90Y has been carried out. Three film badges were exposed on the front of phantom with dimensions of 30 cm x 30 cm x 15 cm using 90Sr+90Y beta source with radiation incidence angles (α) of 20o, 40o, 60o respectively from normally-incidence (0o). Irradiation. distances were 12 cm, 16 cm, 20 cm, 30 cm, 35 cm, 40 cm, 50 cm from the source centre having exposed dose of 3 mSv. The optical density of open window (OW) and under plastic filter 1.5 mm (PI 1.5mm) read by using densitometer to get beta radiation responses. The maximum response obtained at radiation incidence angle 0o and irradiation distance of 30 cm from the 90Sr+90Y beta secondary-standard source centre. The measured dose was H (0.07,α) that determined by relative values of dosimeter responses on α,R(0.07,α) upon dosimeter responses on normal α, R(0.07,O)
