Description
35Cl NQR spectra from complexes of trichloroacetic acid (A-H) and bases (B) are studied at 77 K for pKsub(a) ranging from -10 to +11. A characteristic dependence of Δ anti ν sub(q) vs ΔpKsub(a) is obtained. The proton transfer problem is discussed, and good agreement with the dielectric and spectroscopic data of others is achieved.
