On phase composition of titanium dioxide ceramics with additions of Nb and Ba
Description
Phase correlations in adjacent to TiO2 region of BaO-TiO2-Nb2O5 system, their temperature dependence and influence on Ti1-xNbxO2 solid solutions formation were investigated. It was shown that adjacent to TiO2 region of ternary system BaO-TiO2-Nb2O5 could be described as a combination of three secondary systems: TiO2-Ba2Ti9O20-Ba3Ti4Nb4O21, TiO2-Ba3Ti4Nb4O21-Ba2Ti3Nb4O18, TiO2-Ba2Ti3Nb4O18-TiNb2O7. Dependences of Nb content in Ti1-xNbxO2 solid solution and phase composition of preparations, figurative points of which reply to TiO2-Ba2Ti3Nb4O18-TiNb2O7 system, on synthesis temperature were obtained. These dependences are explaned by activating effect of liquid phase on formation of conducting Ti1-xNbxO2 solid solution
