Comparative study of solid state reactivity between ferrous oxalate dihydrate and unsubstituted/substituted aniline hydrochlorides
- 1. Guru Nanak Dev Univ., Amritsar (India). Dept. of Chemistry
Description
The solid state reactions between ferrous oxalate dihydrate i.e. FeC2O4.2H2O and unsubstituted/substituted aniline hydrochlorides were studied. The products [FeCl(oxH).AN-Cl] were characterized by elemental analysis, infrared and Moessbauer spectroscopic techniques. The kinetic studies for the reactions were performed at various temperatures for fixed particle sizes at constant compaction. The following order of reactivity was observed: unsubstituted > p-substituted > m-substituted >> o-substituted. (author) 10 refs.; 5 figs.; 3 tabs
