Low-temperature attachment for temperatures down to 120 K for a diffractometer with a two-dimensional detector

Description

A low-temperature attachment to an automated KARD-6 diffractometer is designed. The device provides sample temperatures down to 120 K. The basic element of the design is a glass-made Dewar tube for delivering cold gas to the specimen. The performance characteristics of the device are specified. The possibility of studying rapidly frozen protein crystals and phase transitions in powder samples is demonstrated
