SUsub(3,1) and relativistic quantum string in the orthonormal gauge
Description
An invariance group of the Hamiltonian of the relativistic quantum string in the orthonormal gauge is proposed. The group is identified as SUsub(3,1) which is shown to contain the homogeneous Lorentz group as a subgroup. The unitary representations of SUsub(3,1) are explicitly constructed and some physical interpretations are discussed
