Tolerable parameter scatter of ultrasonic equipment for a 2 dB reproducibility of indications

Creators

  • 1. Rheinisch-Westfaelischer Technischer Ueberwachungs-Verein E.V., Essen (Germany, F.R.)

Description

The ultrasonic equipment currently in use covers about 6 dB or more scatter of indications. In a broad research program the scatter for each of more than 30 parameters was investigated. From the results it can be concluded how small the parameter scatter has to be for the ultrasonic equipment to cause only a 2 dB scatter of indications in the future
