Description
The paper describes a fixed-filter dust sampling device intended for atmospheric radioactivity monitoring. Thanks to its robustness and low power consumption, this apparatus, which has been developed by the Central Radiological Protection Service (Service central dé protection contre les rayonnements ionisants (SCPRI)) is easily used both for public health surveillance work and for monitoring of work places. For several years past it has been widely used in France for monitoring at nuclear sites and associated industries, and also at the reference stations of the SCPRI. The physical characteristics of the aspirator, the volume counter and the filter are studied both in the laboratory and in the field. (author)
Abstract (French)
(author)Additional details
