Identity between the widths from alpha decay and alpha elastic scattering
Description
We gave recently the general expression for the alpha decay width derived from the two body, complex energy eigenvalue theory. We show here that the width for alpha elastic scattering for the same state has the same expression. Our treatment for the alpha decay joins smoothly the quantum mechanics solution for the bound state problem and the one for the elastic scattering problem
