Macroscopic quantum tunneling and dissipation in Josephson junctions and SQUIDs
Description
Metastable state lifetime of a quantum particle has been calculated for arbitrary ratio of thermal energy ksub(B)T to zero-point energy hω/2. The result determines, in particular, the rate of macroscopic quantum tunneling effect in Josephson junctions and SQUIDs. (orig.)
