Temperature dependence of the electric field gradient in radiation damaged copper
- 1. Konstanz Univ. (Germany, F.R.). Fachbereich Physik
Description
The temperature dependence of the EFG produced at 111In nuclei, which were implanted into copper, was measured using the DPAC method. During the implantation process at room temperature radiation damage is produced in the Cu lattice. When the sample is heated to approximately 630K a large fraction of the 111In atoms trap defects. A non-zero EFG is observed. The unique interaction frequency observed is attributed to a trapped monovacancy
