Studies on influence on the fast neutron spectrum measurement with SSNTD-radiator-degrader

  • 1. Northwest Inst. of Nuclear Technology, Xi'an (China)

Description

The influences of the neutron incident angle and the degrader materials' nuclear reactions on the fast neutron measurement with Cr-39-radiator-degrader detectors were studied. The studies show that the detector position (angle) in the neutron fluency can heavily affects the measurement. However, the influence of the scattering neutrons and the degrader materials' nuclear reactions can be neglected. (authors)
