12 MeV linear induction electron accelerator

Description

The 12 MeV Linear Induction Accelerator (LIA) comes from promoting beam energy and improving systems of the 10 MeV LIA. Promoting beam energy is acquired by the way adding four accelerating cells after the accelerating end of the 10 MeV LIA. In improving systems, a renew-designed distribution of transporting magnetic-field and focusing system are more suitable for transporting and focusing electron beams. In this way, and intense electron beam with energy 12 MeV, current ∼2.6 kA, pulse width ∼89 ns (FWHM) and spot size ∼4 mm can be obtained at the output end of the 12 MeV LIA
