The role of the complexones in the regulation of the radionuclides accumulation levels in freshwater plants

Description

The effect of the complexones ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), diethylenetriaminepentaacetic acid (DTPA), and hydroxyethylidenediphosphonic acid (HEDP) in relatively low concentrations (from 0.1 to 50 mg/l) on the accumulation levels of the radionuclides 90Sr, 137Cs, 144Ce and 106Ru in different kinds of water plants. On the basis of the data obtained it has been determined (from the example of 144Ce and 106Ru) which of the complexones regulates the accumulation levels of the radionuclides of three- and four-valent metals in water plants most effectively
