Development of radiological emergency exercise scenario

The review of the previously implemented exercise results and draw up an optimized nuclear emergency exercise scheme for nuclear emergency exercise were accomplished by using the guidance which was developed to support the establishment of the exercise scenario and the form of exercise evaluation. The regional nuclear emergency exercise plans for Kori·Uljin·Wolsung nuclear sites were established after analyzing the fault of previously implemented exercise scenario based on the optimized exercise developing guidance. The implementation of the nuclear exercise at Kori·Uljin NPPs was supported in the field of planning of the off-site exercise plan and coordination of the detailed exercise implementing plans of the exercise involved organizations, development of the operation guidance of exercise control and evaluation teams and support of implementing of the exercise control and evaluation, coordination support of mobilizing of exercise equipments and personnel, development of training materials for regional emergency personnel and support of the education and training, development and supply of the public information brochure of the emergency exercise The results developed and verified by this project was already reflected to enact the radiological emergency preparedness acts, to readjust the national radiological disaster management system, and to establish the national radiological emergency plan and also, is expected to be used to improve the emergency plans, the plan implementing procedures and manuals for radiological emergency response organizations and to construct the radiological emergency response partnership between above organizations and will be used to develop the scenario of the national wide nuclear emergency exercise which will be held on the year 2006. Papers, technical reports, etc which was produced during this project should be used for technical bases to improve the national and regional nuclear and radiological emergency preparedness
