Description
Assessing cascade size effects on compounds stability under irradiation requires a safe stochastic description of the order-disorder transition under external forcing. To address multidimensional order parameter structures, we introduce the 'Kubo Ansatz' technique and apply it to the fcc lattice. Irradiation-induced stabilization of unexpected structures is predicted, and a diagram for the respective stabilities of L12, L10 and disordered fcc solid solution is established. (orig.)
