Sealing connection for fuel elements of a gas-cooled nuclear reactor
Description
Tight connection between the fuel element and the core support plate of a FBR, cooled e.g. with helium. The shell of the fuel element is conically beveled on its transition to the tube-shaped part and sealed by means of piston rings. At this point there are arranged on the cone of the fuel element three supporting feet, 120 degrees apart, one of which being movable. By this means possible angular inaccuracies between both conical surfaces may be balanced. The movable, supporting foot fits in a conical recess in the top and of the fuel element with a type of spherical segment forming its end. In addition it has got a penetrating boring by means of which a tight connection between a fission gas ripe in the top end of the fuel element and the core support plate is created. (UA)

Dichte Verbindung zwischen dem Brennelement und der Kerntragplatte eines z.B. mit Helium gekuehlten SBR. Der Mantel des Brennelementes ist an seinem Uebergang zum rohrfoermigen Teil mittels Kolbenringen abgedichtet und konisch abgeschraegt. Mit diesem Konus sitzt es in einem entsprechenden Konus der Kerntragplatte. An dieser Stelle sind auf dem Konus des Brennelementes, um jeweils 1200 versetzt, drei Abstuetzfuesse angeordnet, wovon einer beweglich ist. Hierdurch kann eine evtl. Winkelungenauigkeit zwischen den beiden konischen Flaechen ausgeglichen werden. Der bewegliche Abstuetzfuss sitzt mit einem Kugelkalotten-aehnlichen Ende in einer konischen Ausdrehung des Brennelementkopfes. Er weist zusaetzlich eine durchgehende Bohrung auf, mit der eine dichte Verbindung zwischen einer Spaltgasleitung im Brennelementkopf und der Kerntragplatte hergestellt wird. (UA)Files
