Analysis of drying stage in technology of supported catalysts

  • 1. AN SSSR, Novosibirsk. Inst. Kataliza

Description

An early model of drying a porous body has been used for the analysis of non-adsorbable metal chloride and nitrate distribution, particularly cesium, precipitated in the porous space of typical fine carriers. Alumosilicate catalysts, γ-Al2O3-40, γ-Al2O3-90, SiO2-20, SiO2-40, have been investigated as the carriers. A complex parameter of precipitation, involving certain characteristics of the carrier, salt solution and drying conditions, has been used for the analysis. The expected and discovered salt distributions have been shown to be in agreement. The effect of the salt solution mobility in the carrier on the salt distribution has been revealed
