On the spatial distribution of zirconium stars

Description

Distances to the zirconium stars with allowance for the interstellar absorption are estimated and their spatial distribution both in general and in single branches are considered. When determining the distances the contribution of some factors, such as the error in absolute magnitudes is accounted for. It is shown that low luminosity (Msub(V)=-1sup(m).8) zirconium stars are detected from the Galactic plane quite at a great distance to the South, just in the region where the Large Magellanic Cloud is connected to our Galaxy
