Gamma radiation effects of cobalt-60 on tribolium castaneum (Herbst., 1797) (Coleoptera:tenebrionidae)

Description

The objectives of this research was to verify the effects of gamma radiation of a Cobalt-60 source on the life cycle of the red-flour-beetle Tribolium castaneum (Herbst, 1797). The used dose rate was 1,24 A 3,05 KGy per hour, and the irradiated insects were kept under controlled environment condition of 23 to 27O C and 65 to 75 percent relative humidity after treatments.
