Description

A two-dimensional Ising system composed of ferrimagnetically ordered chains coupled weakly and ferromagnetically to each other is discussed by the use of differential operator technique, in order to clarify the possibility of two compensation points in a molecular-based ferrimagnetic magnetic material. For this possibility, we find that each chain must consist of at least three magnetic atoms with spin 1/2 and integer spins as well as particular negative uniaxial anisotropy values. Two possible cases are proposed. (author)
