Description

Nickel contents in four stainless steels and two high nickel finished product alloys were determined using a k0-based internal monostandard instrumental neutron activation analysis (IM-INAA) method. Two reference materials containing Ni were analyzed to evaluate the accuracy of the method. Since all the major elements were amenable to NAA, a standard-less approach was used for nickel determination. The Ni contents in the high nickel alloys were also determined by relative method of NAA for verification. (author)
